Colloidal InSb Quantum Dots/Organic Integrated Bulk Heterojunction for Fast and Sensitive Near‐Infrared Photodetectors

چکیده

It remains urgent to integrate conductive InSb colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) for sensitive and fast near-infrared (NIR) photodetection applications. Herein, nanocrystallized CQDs (<12 nm in diameter) have been successfully obtained via hot-injection procedure, demonstrated a very narrow absorption peak centered at 1406 with full width half maximum (FWHM) of 10.3 broader 1702 nm, indicating strong quantum-confined effect. After integrating these [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) polymeric triphenyldiamine (poly(N,N′-diphenylben-zidine diphenylether), poly-TPD) bulk junction, the Si/SiO2/InSb CQDs:PCBM:poly-TPD/Ag photodetector has reached long-wavelength response up 1400 time (<80 ms), superior on/off ratio. In specific, charge carriers can be effectively transported due favorable energy alignment interpenetrating network formed inorganic/organic blend films. The work provides new strategy synthesize high-quality CQD reveal its starting point toward low-cost, practical, next-generation NIR detection.

Exciton Dynamics in InSb Colloidal Quantum Dots.

Extraordinarily fast biexciton decay times and unexpectedly large optical gaps are two striking features observed in InSb colloidal quantum dots that have remained so far unexplained. The former, should its origin be identified as an Auger recombination process, would have important implications regarding carrier multiplication efficiency, suggesting these nanostructures as potentially ideal ac...

Nanotetrapods: quantum dot hybrid for bulk heterojunction solar cells

Hybrid thin film solar cell based on all-inorganic nanoparticles is a new member in the family of photovoltaic devices. In this work, a novel and performance-efficient inorganic hybrid nanostructure with continuous charge transportation and collection channels is demonstrated by introducing CdTe nanotetropods (NTs) and CdSe quantum dots (QDs). Hybrid morphology is characterized, demonstrating a...
